The Crossroads Park Parking Lot and Water Quality Improvements Project resides southeast of the intersection of Interstates 35 and 80/235 in the northern half of the City of West Des Moines. The project site is accessible off of Ashworth Road. The construction improvements include parking lot and road modifications, bioretention cell construction, waterway stabilization, and other items as required to accommodate the existing site conditions. The base bid contains two divisions for approximately 2,700 CY of general excavation, 3,500 SY of subgrade preparation, 1,300 LF PCC curb and gutter, 2,800 of unspecified milling, and 2,300 SY of pavement removal, as well as various seeding and erosion control items. Other base bid items include but are not limited to traffic control, surface restoration, bioretention cell construction, and soil quality restoration. Six (6) add alternates are included in the plans and bid proposal.
