The City of El Paso intends to produce a street resurfacing program comprised of both residential and arterial roadways. This program that will provide a new asphaltic riding surface to the project locations, to include Streets, Alleys, Parking Lots or other City Rights of Way as needed, as well as updating the pedestrian elements, replacing damaged concrete parkway structures and associated striping and markings. Bid Security: Each proposal must be accompanied by a bid bond naming the City of El Paso as obligee and duly executed by the offeror as principal and having as surety thereon a surety company approved by the Owner, in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total price (including base bid(s), option(s) and alternate(s).All Bid Bond Forms Must Contain Original Signatures (s). A Performance Bond for all public works contracts in excess of $25,000. The performance bond shall be for one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price and conditioned on the faithful performance of work in accordance with the plans, specifications, and contract documents. b. A Payment Bond for all public works contracts in excess of $25,000. The payment bond shall be for one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price for the protection and use of the payment bond beneficiaries who have a direct contractual relationship with the prime contractor or subcontractor to supply public work labor or material. Last Day for Offerors to Submit Written Questions January 7, 2022 Offeror agrees to commence work on a date to be specified in a written "Notice to Proceed" issued by the Owner. The Contract Time shall begin on the date to commence work specified in the Notice to Proceed and shall run for three hundred sixty-five (365) additional CONSECUTIVE CALENDAR DAYS thereafter. Offeror agrees to pay as liquidated damages the sum of four thousand dollars and zero cents ($4,000.00) for each consecutive calendar day after the expiration of the Contract Time, as provided in Paragraph 6.8.3.1 of the General Conditions. The unit price quantities of this contract
are estimated. The City of El Paso reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids/proposals, to waive all technicalities, and to accept the bid or bids most beneficial to the City or applicant as applicable.
