Increasing the capacity of the Bédard sanitary pumping station. The scope of the project includes the demolition of the entire sanitary sewer network on avenue Bédar and construction of a new gravity sanitary sewer from Chemin Sainte-Angélique to the new pumping station that will require major road and paving work. The scope of the project also includes upgrades of the station itself, including the replacement of the pump system with more efficient pumps and replacement of the electrical equipment. TIMELINE: Working drawings are finalized. The project is on hold pending required environmental approvals and authorization by competent authorities as the project is located on agricultural land. The owner expects to obtain all required approvals in summer/fall 2026 and issue a tender for the general contractor in late 2026. If the approvals are not granted, the owner will try to adopt another alternative that may postpone the project development until 2027-2028.
