The City of New Ulm (City) invites proposals from qualified engineering firms to deliver a utility and roadway reconstruction project to be constructed in Federal fiscal year 2024 that will utilize STP Small Urban Federal, MSAS and local funding. The City of New Ulm has been programmed to receive a STP Small Urban Grant of $2,025,600 in Federal fiscal year 2024 to help fund the reconstruction of 20th South Street (MSAS 110) from MN HWY 15/68 to the Minnesota River Bridge (Bridge No. 08520) a length of 0.43 miles. The proposed 20th South Street (MSAS 110) project includes reconstructing the existing roadway segment utilizing the existing horizontal and vertical alignment. The project would include water and sanitary sewer main reconstruction, sewer and water end service reconstruction, storm sewer rehabilitation, storm water treatment, grading, aggregate base, bituminous surfacing, boulevard restoration, trees, sidewalk construction, bituminous recreational trail construction and a LED street lighting system.
