Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Corpus Christi, Texas. Completed plans call for the construction of a playground / park / athletic field; for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; and sidewalk / parking lot.

As of 11/16/21, per the owner a Design-Builder has not been selected. An estimated timeframe for award is January 2022. The City is seeking qualified firms interested and qualified to provide Design/Build services for a turnkey solution which includes all required administration, design, permitting, construction, testing and commissioning efforts to construct a new elevated bathroom, associated parking lot and public park amenities for Surfside Park located in North Beach City of Corpus Christi, Texas. The design build Project at North Beach is an improvement project for Surfside Park. The Project includes the design of a raised restroom facility to be relocated from the current restroom location. In addition, traffic flow and parking layout are to be redesigned relocated and constructed. As part of the overall project, there will be a new community recreation area and picnicking areas integrated into the site and some drainage improvements This park renovation project has four major areas of focus: restrooms, drainage, recreation, and parking. For the proposed restrooms, goals include a raised structure, relocating the restrooms farther back from the beach, and an updated design to address safety concerns. Drainage improvements are concerned with improving the high tide and storm conditions. Proposed recreation elements include a space for play and picnic tables including shade structures all with beach access. All features (restrooms, play area, etc.) will be accessible to park users in a pedestrian friendly and safe manor. Lastly, parking and traffic flow will be addressed to provide a drop off area and a new directional parking pattern which will be located farther back from the beach with updated drainage facilities. B. The Design/Builder shall provide for a turnkey project which includes all required site survey, building permit acquisition, utility relocations, design, site development and construction of all improvements required for the project. C. The completion date for the full design and build of the Project is twelve (12) months from the issuance of the notice to proceed.
