The specification covers the construction and the mechanical and electrical requirements for underground distribution 15kV power cable for use on a grounded wye distribution system. There shall be two cable constructions consisting of a primary distribution cable and a primary feeder cable. The cable shall be ethylene propylene rubber (EPR) insulated aluminum power cable suitable for wet or dry locations, either direct burial or in ducts or conduit, below or above the ground, and in direct sunlight. The cable shall be used for underground distribution system s and substation circuits. Approved cable manufacturers with no substitutes: Okonite, General Cable, Southwire, Prysmian, and Kerite. DELIVERY SCHEDULE--CABLE MPS requires delivery of the listed products by the following dates: 1/0 Cable Earliest Date January 1, 2022 100 Percent By March 31, 2022 500kcm il or 750kcm il Cable Earliest Date January 1, 2022 100 Percent By March 31, 2022
