Site work and new construction of a water / sewer project in Georgetown, Delaware. Completed plans call for the construction of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.

The Project consists of constructing approximately 3,800 LF of 8 PVC gravity piping and 4,400 LF of low-pressure piping for the collection of sewer for the community of Mulberry Knoll, as well as 14 grinder pumping stations, 15 sanitary sewer manholes, and other work indicated in the Contract Documents. The gravity piping will tie into the new pump station located across from Stardust Drive and Riviera Drive. Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a lump sum and unit price basis, as indicated in the Bid Form. Prospective Bidders may examine the Bidding Documents at the Issuing Office on Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 7:30AM to 4:30PM and may obtain copies of the Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office as described below. Bidding Documents also may be examined at Sussex County Engineering, Sussex County Administration Building, 3rd Floor, 2 The Circle, Georgetown, Delaware 19947, (302) 855-7718, on Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 9:00AM to 4:00PM. Bidding Documents may be obtained from the Issuing Office during the hours indicated above. Bidding Documents are available on a flash drive (as portable document format (PDF) files) for a non- refundable charge of $75.00, including shipping via overnight express service. Alternatively, printed Bidding Documents may be obtained from the Issuing Office either via in-person pick-up or via mail, upon Issuing Office s receipt of payment for the Bidding Documents. The date that the Bidding Documents are transmitted by the Issuing Office will be considered the prospective Bidder s date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office. The pre-bid conference and bid opening in the Council Chambers will occur in compliance with the Governor s State of Emergency restrictions (i.e. proper spacing, County building policies), assuming they are still in place at this time. Attendance at the pre-bid conference is highly encouraged but is not mandatory. RFI s must be submitted in writing by 5:00 PM on October 29, 2021 to christine.hinton@kci.com. Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Current Delaware State Prevailing Wages and Davis-Bacon Wage Rates apply on this project and are contained in the Bidding Documents. The project will be completed utilizing Delaware Clean Water State Revolving Fund monies, thus bidders on this work will be required to comply with all policies as outlined in the Bidding Documents.
