Separate Sealed Bids for Construction of Water Main Extensions to Imlay Road and Wilsonwood Road Will Be Received by the Muskingum County Commissioners UNIT PRICE CONTRACT consisting of construction of approximately 8,860 linear feet of 4- and 3-inch PVC water main, with 8,740 linear feet of 4- and 3-inch water main installed by open trench methods and 120 linear feet of 3-inch water main installed by HDD methods, 3 flushout assemblies, 3 gate valves, 9 customer service connections and a tie-in to the existing water distribution system and other appurtenances necessary to complete the work. This is an INSTALLATION ONLY Contract. The OWNER will supply principal materials required to perform the work of this Project. The Bidder shall install these materials as described in the Contract Documents. The Bidder remains responsible to provide and install materials for pipeline thrust restraint, backfill and surface restoration and incidental items required for traffic, environmental and pollution controls. The Muskingum County Commissioners reserve the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informalities in the bids received, and to accept any bid or combination of bids which is deemed most favorable to the County at the time and under the conditions stipulated. The Commissioners further declare that they will award the contract for this project to the lowest and best bid, which may not necessarily be the lowest bid. No single factor will control the Board's decision to award, and the Board reserves the right to exercise its full discretion. Each Bidder must submit with his Bid, security in the amount, form and subject to the conditions provided in the Instruction for Bidders. All work done under this contract shall be subject to all State Prevailing Wage rates and rules. Each Proposal must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the proposal and all persons interested therein. Each Bidder must submit evidence of its experiences on projects of similar size and complexity. All Contractors and subcontractors involved with the project will, to the extent practicable use Ohio Products, materials, services, and labor in the implementation of their project. No Bidder may withdraw his Bid within 60 days after the actual date of the opening thereof.
