Renovation of an educational facility in Chalmette, Louisiana. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 6,821-square-foot educational facility.
Partial renovation of an existing unoccupied building areas into built out department/classroom spaces including a storage room, a conference room, an office, a lobby, restrooms, miscellaneous mechanical and electrical rooms, a janitor's closet, corridors, and lab rooms for the Aerospace Department and other Work indicated in the Contract Documents. Work on the exterior will include patching and repairing walls where schedule vents are installed, repairs to the rood access ladder, repairs to existing storefronts including enclosure at the front lobby entrance where a balcony was removed, and some site work including the construction of a platform to support HVAC equipment. Interior work will include the buildout of scheduled rooms indicated on the plans. Work will include installing scheduled wall finishes, ceiling finishes and lighting, as well as refurbishing existing floor and wall finishes in the areas indicated. Work will also include confirming the fire rating of existing corridors and installation of fire rated and non-fire rated doors. Nunez Community College reserves the right to reject any or all bids, t waive any and all informalities, and to reject nonconforming, non-responsive, or conditional bids whichever is in the best interest of Nunez Community College. Bid Security on the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid must accompany each Bid. A certified, cashier's check or a bid bond is acceptable bid security. If a bid bond is used, it shall be written by a surety or insurance company currently on the U.S Department of the Treasury Financial Management service list of approved bonding companies which is published annually in the Federal Register, or by a Louisiana domiciled insurance company with at least an A-rating in the latest printing of the A.M. Best's Key rating Guide to write individual bonds up to ten percent of policyholders surplus as shown in the A.M. Best's Key Rating Guide
