The Project is part of the City's Active Transportation Program ("ATP") Juniper Elementary Bike and Pedestrian Improvements Project. The selected consultant will work with the Escondido Union School District to improve the safety of children walking and bicycling to school. Consulting services shall be aimed at improving and promoting Safe Routes to School engagement, equity, engineering, encouragement, education, and evaluation at Juniper Elementary School, Oak Hill Elementary School, and Central Elementary School. Services will generally include providing Project administration, developing and strengthening school site committees, audits and assessments, outreach, recommendations, and working directly with the City, community, and Caltrans.
