Prospective Bidders are cautioned that the failure to obtain Bid Documents from the Architect as set forth above or notify the Architect of an intention to Bid could prevent the Prospective Bidder from receiving additional information, updates or addenda that may be issued concerning bidding on this Project. All bids must be accompanied by bid security equal to five percent (5%) of the sum of the base bid and all alternates, and must be in the form of a certified check, cashier's check or bid bond, as outlined in the Instructions to Bidders. The Successful Bidder will be required to furnish a performance and payment bond, each in an amount equal to 100% of the contract amount. No bid may be withdrawn except as provided for by law. Bidders must meet the requirements of the State of Louisiana Contractor's Licensing Law, La. R.S. 37:2150.1 through 2164, as amended. Preference may be given to materials, supplies and provisions produced, manufactured or grown in Louisiana in accordance with law. The Owner reserves the right, in accordance with law, to reject any and all bids. If there are any questions regarding this procedure or project, please contact the St. Tammany Parish Public School System Construction Department at 985-898-3287. Bidders have the option to submit bids electronically in accordance with Louisiana Revised Statute 38:2212 A(1)(f)(i). Complete Bidding Documents are also available in electronic form. Electronic documents can be electronic at no cost ($0.00) from City Blue Print The Work of Project is defined by the Contract Documents and consists of the following: 1. The installation of temporary modular classroom buildings, access walks, stairs, ramps, and covered canopies. Installation of the temporary maintenance storage units. Construction access entrance and drive. Relocation of the Kitchen and Cafeteria indoor and outdoor HVAC equipment. Relocation of utilities to accommodate the construction access drive. The construction of Service dock area canopy. 2. Demolition of existing 700 Wing and maintenance building and the reconstruction of both inclusive of existing exterior walkway enclosure. 3. Removal of temporary modular classroom buildings. Demolition of 2 (two) existing wooden buildings and adjacent canopy. Regrading and site work in these areas for refurbished playground areas. 4. The site work consists of demolition and clearing, earthwork, concrete paving, sidewalks, fencing, site drainage, site utilities, and sodding. 5. The new 700 Wing shall be comprised of, but not limited to: a single story concrete masonry unit and brick veneer walls, cement plaster gable end walls with cold formed metal stud backup, concrete masonry unit interior walls, steel column and frame system, pre-engineered metal trusses, metal roof deck with insulation board, cover board, underlayment and pre-finished standing seam metal roofing, aluminum window units, and interior and exterior doors and frames. 6. The 700 Wing shall be equipped with an automated sprinkler, fire alarm, intercom, clock, data, access control and the associated plumbing, HVAC, electrical and special systems. 7.
