File No. 25836 It is the intent of the College of Lake County (CLC) to enter into an Agreement with Trade Packages to complete renovation work at the building located at 7735 W. Grand Ave in Gurnee, Illinois. The project includes an 85,000sf renovation of an existing Lowes building to create an Advanced Technology Center. Work includes earthwork, demolition, underground utilities installation, general site restoration, concrete, steel hollow core planks, glazing, fire protection, electrical, HVAC, plumbing and all architectural finishes. Bids may not be withdrawn for a period of (90) ninety days after the closing date without the consent of the College. All responses will be posted on the College website by 4:00 P.M. on September 9, 2021. A 10% bid bond is required. A 100% performance and 100% payment bond are required prior to the execution of the contract. Any bid submitted unsealed, unsigned or received subsequent to the aforementioned date, time, and methodology will be disqualified and returned to the respective bidder(s). The College reserves the right to reject anyand all bids or anypart thereof, to waive any irregularities or informalities in the bid submission and/or to award a contract in a manner best serving the interest of theCollege. The Project consists of the alteration of approximately 80,000 SF of warehouse space into advanced technology teaching and support spaces.. As an overview, the project includes approximately 80,000 SF of renovation and a 27,000 SF precast mezzanine within an approximately 150,000 SF warehouse space. Renovation includes standard construction trades including but not limited to exterior sanitary line, demolition, masonry, steel, precast, finishes, windows, doors, skylights, roofing repairs, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, technology, etc.
