Demolition, site work, renovation and addition to a mixed-use development in Laval, Quebec. Working plans call for the addition of a 9,200-square-foot, two-story above grade, one-story below grade library; for the demolition of a library; for the renovation of a 15,500-square-foot, two-story above grade library; for site work for a library; playground / park / athletic field; and playground / park / athletic field.

Expansion and renovation of the Germaine-Guèvremont library and redevelopment of Jacques-Bouron park in the City. The scope of the project includes the construction of an addition to the library building including a green roofing and an underground parking for 30 cars, installation of a new elevator and interior and exterior alterations and improvements. The scope of the project also includes upgrades to the Jacques-Bourdon park involving landscaping work, water game installation and upgrades, improvements of the park lighting system, demolition of the existing open air swimming pool and transformation of its site into a green space. TIMELINE: Working drawings are underway. Following the need to bring the Germaine-Guèvremont library up to standard, the owner completely reviewed the block formed by the library and Jacques-Bourdon park and is organizing, on April 14, 2022, a public information and discussion meeting with local population of the project. Tender for the general contractor is anticipated in late spring/early summer 2023.
