Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Des Moines, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.
The improvement includes removals, Portland Cement Concrete (PCC) curb, PCC sidewalks, county name plaque relocation and replacement, full-depth patches, Hot-Mix Asphalt (HMA) milling and overlay, traffic control, pavement markings, sign installation, erosion control, restoration, seeding, and other associated work, all in accordance with the contract documents including Plan File No. 679-001/043, located along E. Locust Street from the Des Moines River to E. 7th Street, Des Moines, Iowa. Each bidder shall accompany its bid with bid security as defined in Section 26.8 of the Iowa Code and as specified by the Jurisdiction. This project shall be fully completed not later than October 31, 2026, and in accordance with the Completion Provisions. The City's Overall Annual DBE/TSB Goal for this project is 5.72% *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
