Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Des Moines, Iowa. Conceptual plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.
This project includes the replacement and upgrading of the existing traffic signals, removal of existing right-turn channelizing islands, median modifications to offset leftturn lanes to provide better sight distance and pedestrian crossing improvements such as curb ramps and pushbuttons. As of June 2, 2022, this project is included in the City of Des Moines FY 2022-2027 CIP. Information regarding design team and contractor selection has not been disclosed. Although a firm timeline for construction has not been determined, construction is not expected to start prior to fiscal year 2023. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP).
