Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Lake City, Florida. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; water / sewer project; bridge / tunnel; road / highway; and road / highway.

The Contractor agrees to furnish and pay for all management, supervision, financing, labor, materials, tools, fuel, supplies, utilities, equipment and services of every kind and type necessary to diligently, timely, and fully perform and complete in a good and workmanlike manner the Work required by this Agreement. Scope of work includes clearing and grubbing, grading, stabilizing, limerock base, asphaltic concrete, driveway improvements, culverts, grassing, erosion control, and incidental items. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: In accordance with the Consultants Competitive Negotiation Act (F.S. 287.055), Columbia County, Florida is seeking Statements of Qualifications from Florida registered firms to design, survey, permit, prepare construction documents, assist with construction bidding, and provide certifications for required clearances for a project that will consist of asphalt roadway construction for the following County dirt roadways in the platted subdivision, Parnell Hills: NW Honeysuckle Way, NW Bronco Ter, NW Pillsbury Dr, NW Silas Gln, NW Antelope Loop, NW Genell Loop, and NW Timber Way. The project will include but is not limited to: topographical and boundary surveys, asphaltic roadway design, stormwater design, and any required tasks required for permitting the construction of the aforementioned roadways. The contract time shall be 280 calendar days from the date of contract execution. The contractor will be required to return executed contract to Erica Jones, Columbia County Purchasing Officer and Chad Williams, Columbia County Engineer, within 14 days of Board approval. Time can be extended by mutual agreement of both parties. Liquidated damages shall be $2,592 per day Per FDOT Specifications. No work is allowed on Saturdays, Sundays, and/or County designated holidays. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a 5% bid bond with bid submittal, and if selected, furnish the County Manager with a performance bond, and proof liability insurance prior to commencing work. Question Deadline 04/15/2024 at 3:00 PM ET Deadline for questions regarding specifications and/or bid documents must be received. The Contractor shall provide Performance and Payment Bonds, in the form prescribed in the Exhibits to the Agreement, in the amount of 100% of the Contract Amount, the costs of which are to be paid by Contractor. The Columbia County Commission reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to add to the contract or delete from the contract to stay within their funding capabilities.
