Renovation of a military facility in Fort Meade, South Dakota. Completed plans call for the renovation of a military facility.
Each bid in excess of $50,000.00 must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, or draft in the amount of 5% of the base bid and all add alternates and drawn on a State or National Bank, or a 10% bid bond issued by a surety authorized to do business in the State of South Dakota and made payable to the Department of the Military of the State of South Dakota. The Department of the Military reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularities therein. Replace the existing 2-level deck surface on Knaack Hall (Building 60) at Ft. Meade. Replace rotted wooden decking and structural members where needed. Install new composite decking. Repaint trim and exposed structural members. Building will be occupied during construction. Contractor shall avoid undue disturbance to building occupants. Contractor shall not block or obstruct building exits in any way. Storage areas for materials will be provided within close proximity to the buildings. Exact location will be discussed in greater detail at the preconstruction meeting.
