Per the owner, as of February 7, 2024, an award has been made for this solicitation. The owner states the project is in design and is anticipated to bid in the last half of 2024. the owner states that construction is anticipated to begin in 2025. Closed solicitation has been included below for reference. ............. The LBWD provides sewer service to a population of roughly 470,000 within a 50-square mile area in the City of Long Beach. LBWD owns, operates, and maintains over 710 miles of sanitary sewer mains, approximately 15,000 maintenance holes, and 26 sewer lift stations. The Long Beach sewer service area is divided into fourteen (14) main service / primary trunk sewer areas. In 2013, LBWD compiled a comprehensive sewer master plan. As part of the 2013 Sewer Master Plan Update project, condition assessments were performed on fourteen (14) of the twenty-six (26) LBWD sewer lift stations. S-7 was identified to be in fair condition. The assessment used factors such as age, pump inflows, location, and system importance to identify conditions of the stations. S-7 is located at 349 Lakeview Ave., in the City of Long Beach. The station was constructed in 1929 and last rehabilitated in 2000. Currently, the lift station is equipped with a total of two (2) dry pit, 14-HP submersible pumps; a single, 8-inch ductile iron pipe Exhibit "A" - S-7 SEWER LIFT STATION REHABILITATION PROJECT A-2 force main; and a 2,600-gal wet well. See Exhibits "F" and "G" for the location and service area maps. LBWD anticipates that the engineering design for this PROJECT be done on a prompt basis. Commence construction by July 2023

The LBWD will select the Consultant, which appears most likely to provide the services under the conditions that would be in the best interest of the LBWD.
