Site work for a water / sewer project in Barwick, Georgia. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The work for this project will be awarded in three (3) separate contracts: Contract A: Meter Installation Services: Install +/-244 new water meters with a contract time of 30 days. Contract B: Automated Meter Reading Equipment: Provide +/-244 AMR water meters with related hardware and software. Contract time of 90 days. Contract C: Water Main Improvements: Construct 45 LF of 6" PVC water main, 9 insertion valves, and abandonment work. The work will have a contract time of 90 days. Bids shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond for 10% of the base bid. Performance and Payment Bonds, each in an amount equal to 100% of the contract price shall be required of the successful Bidder if contract is awarded. Any Contract or Contracts awarded are expected to be funded GEFA's SRF program. Bidders must comply with 41 CFR 60-4, regarding affirmative action, to ensure equal opportunity employment, and will apply the timetables and goals set forth in 41 CFR 60-4, as applicable to the area of the project. The funding for this project also requires that all materials used in construction comply with the American Iron & Steel (AIS) Act. Owner reserves the right to reject bids, waive informalities, and re-advertise.
