Subject line of email shall read Mitchell HS Fire Alarm System Replacement. Questions must specifically reference the section of the Bid to which the question pertains. In order to prevent an unfair advantage to any respondent, all questions and answers will be posted as an addendum/Q&A on Procurement's website on September 22, 2021 by 4:00PM. The SCBE requests bids for Mitchell HS Fire Alarm System Replacement. The specifications are contained in the Design Project Manual. Responses submitted must meet or exceed all requirements. Bids that do not meet or exceed all requirements will be considered non-responsive The new fire alarm system and equipment including installation shall accommodate, but not be limited to, the following: Design, construction, and installation shall utilize the "Design/ Planning Principles & Construction Guidelines for Shelby County Schools", latest edition. Contractor shall ensure that the new fire alarm system and equipment meets all current adopted codes that include local,state, and federal. Contractor shall familiarize themselves with any new modifications to the current adopted codes to assist in eliminating the requirement for additional AHJ inspections. The anticipated terms of this contract shall be (1) year(s). The work shall begin after issuance of the Notice to Proceed. Estimated start time is 12/6/2021. Substantial completion date is projected at 05/30/2022. Final completion date is projected at 06/30/2022. SCBE has set a Minority or Woman-owned Business Enterprises goal of 6% for this project
