Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Fitchburg, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; for paving for a playground / park / athletic field; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.
As of October 15th, 2021 this project has not been awarded. The contractor shall supply 1 skilled dozer operator, and 1 GPS capable dozer to work in conjunction with City of Fitchburg crews to strip the site of topsoil, spread fill material hauled in by the Fitchburg Crews, and spread stone hauled in by Fitchburg Crews. Contractor shall strip the topsoil of the work area, which can be piled onsite out of the way. Contractor shall spread stone supplied by city for use as a tracking pad. Contractor shall spread fill material (estimated to be ~750 CY) hauled in by city crews to the elevation needed. Contractor shall provide the city the time needed to haul in said fill material. City crews will compact the fill material in lifts as contractor spreads the fill. Contractor shall then spread stone or asphalt millings supplied and hauled in by city crews to final elevation needed for concrete sidewalk and asphalt paths, city crews will compact stone. Est.
