Tampa Bay Water is seeking services for the replacement, demolition and disposal of pumps, motors, fans, louvers, electrical equipment and ancillaries for 10 well sites, as well as replacement, demolition and disposal of 4 existing diesel generators located in 4 well sites and install three new diesel generators (CYB-04, CYB-05, and CYB-08). For one of the well sites (CYB-07) the existing pump motor will be reused, and most electrical equipment will remain in place, including the existing engine generator and for one well site (CYB-09) the existing engine generator will be demolished and disposed of, without replacement. The site visit tour will consist of two locations but do not include all locations to be worked on as part of this project. Participants will have the opportunity to tour Well #8 located at 5037 County Line Rd, Lutz, FL 33559 and/or Well #9 located at about 200 feet east of County Line Rd and Royal Hampton Blvd, Lutz, FL. This tour will be self-guided, and the interested participants can visit Well #8 and/or Well #9 at their leisure. Contractors will need to drive to each separate location in their own vehicles and should dress in appropriate comfortable field tour attire (long pants and closed toed shoes). Tampa Bay Water reserves the right to cancel the site visit if inclement weather or wet/muddy road conditions warrant cancellation. ALL PARTICIPANTS are at their own risk for their own vehicles and mode of transportation. The WORK of this PROJECT consists of furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, and incidentals necessary for completing improvements at 10 well sites, as shown on the construction DRAWINGS and specified herein. The WORK is generally described as follows: Demolition: Demolition of existing well pumps, motors, and appurtenances for the 10 wells listed above, except at CYB-07 where only the pump shall be demolished, and the existing motor shall be salvaged and reused. The existing 200 HP motor at the CYB-07 wellsite shall be removed and turned over to the OWNER for storage until it can be reinstalled with the new pump at this wellsite. Partial demolition of, or modifications to, the pump discharge pipe segment between the pump discharge flange and the first dismantling joint, may be required, but only if the new pump discharge flange supplied does not align with the existing mating discharge pipe flange. The need for demolition and replacement of the existing utility pad mounted transformer at all wells, except well CYB-07 will need to be determined by the CONTRACTOR in direct coordination with the local UTILITY SUPPLIER for each well site. Demolition of existing intake louvers and fans, and modifications to the existing CMU wall openings at all well sites as noted in the DRAWINGS. Removal and disposal of existing portable generators at well sites CYB-04, CYB-05 and CYB08, and CYB-09. Coordination with the OWNER related to drop-off location and timing will be required prior to moving the generators on-site, as environmental sampling by the ENGINEER will take place prior or after the equipment removal.
