1. Deck - Removals The following items will be removed to facilitate construction: asphalt wearing surface, expansion joints on deck, and local areas of deteriorated concrete on the deck, curb/sidewalk, and approach slabs. The provision of a debris protection system will be required during the removal operations to avoid any construction debris and/or resulting slurry from the bridge falling below. No fallen object is permitted to enter the stream below span 5 and in the vicinity of the traffic on Hwy 403 below span 2 and span 3. 2. Deck - Construction The following items will be included in the new construction work: new expansion joint on deck, asphalt paving, and local concrete repairs on the deck, curb/sidewalk, and approach slabs. All associated road works shall include maintaining the existing grade and matching the new roadwork construction with the existing approach roads at each end of the approach slab with pavement markings.
