As of March 24 the project has been postponed. A new bid opening date hasn't been selected yet. The owner has determined a prequalified list of general contractors. The work to be done consists of furnishing all materials and equipment and performing all labor necessary for constructing the improvements as shown on the drawings and as specified. The work consists of installation of approximately 16,227 linear feet of 24-inch raw water main and appurtenances and approximately 3,706 linear feet of 20-inch finished water main and appurtenances and other related work as detailed in the specifications and on the construction drawings. Time allotted for this project is 365 consecutive calendar days from notice to proceed. Proposals and Bid Bond: Proposals shall contain prices, in words and figures, for the work bid on. All proposals must be accompanied by a certified check, or a bid bond of a reputable bonding company authorized to do business in the State of Georgia, in an amount equal to at least ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid. Upon proper execution of the agreement and required bonds, the checks or bid bonds of all bidders will be returned to them. Performance and Payment Bonds: A contract performance bond and payment bond, each in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the agreement amount, will be required of the successful bidder. Withdrawal of Proposals: No submitted proposal may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of proposal. The right is reserved to accept or reject any or all proposals and to waive informalities.
