The work or improvement to be performed consists of providing all labor, material, tools and equipment necessary for but are not limited to, preventative monthly maintenance of all mechanical equipment in multiple City facilities in the City of Cerritos. Each bid shall be accompanied by bid security referred to in the Contract Documents and by a list of proposed subcontractors. Evidence of insurance, a performance bond, and a labor and materials bond as specified in the Contract Documents will be required prior to execution of the contract. In accordance with Public Contract Code section 22300, the bidder who is awarded the contract may substitute securities for retention moneys withheld by a public agency to ensure performance under the contract. The procedure and requirements for substituting said securities is set forth in Public Contract Code section 22300, which is incorporated by this reference as set forth herein No bid will be accepted from a contractor who has not been licensed in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 9, Division III of the California Business and Professions Code. The contractor must possess a license of the following classification at the time the contract is awarded (and must maintain this license classification through completion of the project): "C4 and C20" The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids, or portions thereof, or to waive any informality or irregularity in a bid to the extent allowed by law.
