Sealed offers will be accepted by the Cole County Commission for consideration in provision of the following: DESIGN & BUILD SERVICES Bidders should be aware that submissions are public record under state law. The Contractor shall obtain and provide all permits, labor, expertise, equipment, machines, and tools necessary to perform the design and build services at 209 Adams Street, as well as the construction services in the basement at 210 Adams Street, at each work site identified within the RFP and identified at the mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting. The County is looking to have this completed as soon as possible. The Contractor needs to be able to complete both projects within 120 days of their start date noted on the Bidder Response Form. The pricing submitted for the work shall be all inclusive. The order of events for this project MUST stay in the following order. The Contract will move to the next project once the previous project is complete and verified by the County. 1. Design & Build Services at 209 Adams Street 2. Construction Services at 210 Adams Street 4.1.1. DESIGN & BUILD SERVICES, 209 ADAMS STREET. The County will be utilizing this building for our Maintenance Director and his team. It will be storing all of their supplies, equipment, etc. The scope of work includes, but not limited to: Construction of interior walls for office space (direction will be given during the Pre-Bid Meeting) Painting (color to be determined). Installation of a tile ceiling for office area, as well as installing lights. Installation of a 16x10 garage door. Removal of the three (3) roof top units and appropriate patch work. Installation of two (2) heating and cooling units and duck work. Clean up behind the work as much as reasonably possible as the work progresses. Test of lead & asbestos. The Contractor will provide a safe working environment. Make sure everything complies with all local, state, and federal guidelines and codes. 4.1.3 CONSTRUCTION AT 210 ADAMS STREET, BASEMENT. This building is a public facility and will be fully operational and must remain accessible for the duration of this project. The successful Contractor is to employ measures to maintain access and agree and to protect and maintain public safety for the duration of work contemplated herein. Work is to be completed during "normal business hours" between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Additional availability may be accommodated if coordinated with the Cole County Maintenance Director. The scope of work includes, but not limited to: Removal of four (4) heating and cooling united and replaced with six (6) wall mounts. Replace all flooring with carpet squares, color is to be determined. Repair and repaint all walls, wall color is to be white. Replace any missing doorknob. Installation of a tile ceiling for office area, as well as installing lights.
