Saving Project...

Site work and renovation of a civil project in Grande Prairie, Alberta. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

The Owner is developing the WTP Reservoir #2 Civil / Structural project adjacent to its existing Water Treatment Plant (WTP) which involves a new 15,200 cubic meter reservoir along with a pumphouse complete with electrical and chemical rooms. Underground piping will connect the existing WTP to the reservoir (gravity) and the new pumphouse to the existing distribution system (pressurized). Power supply to the pumphouse will be from the Owner's existing 25 kV power distribution system and will include a new 25 kV switch and transformer. Communications with the existing WTP control system is proposed through a fiber optics cable. The new pumphouse is designed for six electric motor drive pumps and one stand-by diesel engine driven pump. The WTP Reservoir #2 project will be executed using two contracts; this Civil / Structural contract being the first and the second being the mechanical / electrical contract which is expected to be released for proposals in the April / May 2024 timeframe as this design work is still in progress.
