Completed plans call for the addition of a 8,500-square-foot educational facility; for the demolition of a educational facility; for the renovation of a 32,500-square-foot educational facility; and for site work for a educational facility.

Generally, the work includes renovation of the existing facility (approximately 32,500 sq. ft.) and construction of three separate building addi-tions (approximately 8,500 sq. ft.). 1. Properly completed Proposal Form in du-plicate (two copies). 2. Bid Deposit in the amount of 10% of Bid. 3. Not less than the prevailing hourly wage rate as determined by the Illinois Depart-ment of Labor pursuant to Illinois Revised Statutes, Ch. 489, Sec. 39s1 et. seq. All Bidders are advised that all work of this Contract shall be subject to the provisions of the 'Illinois Prevailing Wage Act'. Prevailing wage rates have been determined and are on file at the Office of the State of Illinois De-partment of Labor, telephone (217) 782-6206. All Bidders shall submit and enclose with their bid a notarized certification that the Contractor is not barred from bidding on the Contract as a result of a violation of either Section 33 E-3 or 33 E-4 of Article 33E, Public Act 85-1295 (Senate Bill 2002) effective Janu-ary 1, 1989. Certification is located in the Bid Form, section 00 30 00, of this Project Manu-al. Bids shall be accompanied by a bid bond in the amount of 10% of Bid, made payable to the West Prairie School District #103. Failure of Bidders to submit bid bond or cashier's check in the amount of 10% of the bid shall be cause for rejection of bid. Successful Bidder will be required to provide Surety Performance Bond and Payment Bond, each equal to 100% of the Contract cost on prescribed forms within ten (10) days after notice of acceptance is issued by Own-er. Surety on bond shall be by a duly author-ized U. S. Treasury Backed company licensed to do business in the State of Illinois, accept-able to Owner. The Board of Education for West Prairie CUSD #103 reserves the right to reject any or all bids and reserves the right to waive any Ir-regularity in bidding, which in their con-sidered opinion is warranted. No bid shall be withdrawn for sixty (60) days after opening of bids without written consent of the Owner.
