BARNWELL OFFICE RENOVATIONS The South Carolina Department of Natural Resources (SCDNR) is soliciting proposals for a General Contractor to provide building renovations to the Barnwell State Fish Hatchery office, located at 10095 Dunbarton Blvd, Barnwell, SC 29812 Scope of Work / Project Summary The South Carolina Department of Natural Resources (SCDNR) is soliciting proposals for a General Contractor to provide building renovations to the Barnwell State Fish Hatchery office, located at 10095 Dunbarton Blvd, Barnwell, SC 29812. The renovations must include assessment and repair or replacement of the exterior doors and windows and the repair or replacement of the shingles, soffit, facia, guttering, vinyl siding, and exterior security lighting. The renovations may begin upon receipt of the purchase order and must be completed no later than May 31st, 2022. Included with the RFP response, vendor must supply samples of roofing shingle, vinyl siding,, and color swatches of all permanently installed products. If exterior doors and windows will be replaced, rather than repaired, vendor must also supply window and door style, list all recommended style makes and models. Required Services A. Roof 1. Remove all roofing materials down to the roof sheathing 2. Assess roof sheathing and replace with appropriate materials to maintain roof integrity 3. Install new roofing materials that meet or exceed the listed specifications below 3.1. Appropriate underlayment to meet local building code 3.2. 30-year architectural style shingle 3.3. Hip and ridge caps where appropriate 3.4. Shingle style and color should be aesthetically pleasing and maintain the overall look and feel of the office B. Siding Remove all vinyl siding and associated coverings from soffit, facia, guttering, gable ends, and all other structures as required to fulfill the scope of work 4. Assess the condition of soffit, facia and gable ends and repair or replace all damaged wood 5. Install new vinyl siding products that meet or exceed the listed specifications 5.1. Siding style and color should be similar in color to existing, aesthetically pleasing and maintain the overall look and feel of the office C. Gutters 6.
