Marion County Utilities is seeking bids from qualified contractors to construct a new lift station at SW 49th Ave. between SW 95th St. and SW 80th St. The Marion County Board of County Commissioners requests interested parties to submit formal sealed bids/proposals for the above referenced solicitation. NOTE: All prospective respondents are hereby advised to NOT CONTACT County officials other than Marion County Procurement Staff with regard to this project. Work includes construction of site work, installation of new wet well structure, all electrical components, all mechanical components necessary for a complete and functional lift station. Start-up and coordination of electric service are also included. To mitigate long lead times, two (2) Flygt NP 3153 Submersible Sewage Pumps and one (1) Duplex Control Panel w/Data Flow Systems DFS 800 TAC Pack Accessories installed have been pre-ordered and will be provided by Marion County Utilities (MCU). Any and all materials not included in the preorder is the responsibility of the winning bidder Construction of a new access road with underground utilities and a nearby subdivision is ongoing adjacent to the proposed lift station work. Sweeny Lift Station Contractor (CONTRACTOR) will be responsible for coordinating lift station construction activity with adjacent construction to ensure there is no interruption to work. Included in adjacent construction is the installation of force main and gravity sewer main that connects to the Sweeny Lift Station. Force Main Coordination: CONTRACTOR shall install 30-LF of 8" P.V.C. from the valve array out past the Sweeny Lift Station fence and cap the end of the force main. Should adjacent contractor already have force main installed, CONTRACTOR shall connect the force mains. Gravity Sewer Coordination: CONTRACTOR is responsible for connecting the 10" gravity P.V.C. gravity sewer pipe between the lift station and the master manhole. Should the CONTRACTOR be ahead of adjacent contractor's gravity sewer installation, CONTRACTOR shall install 65-LF of 10" gravity sewer main between master manhole and first manhole upstream. Should adjacent contractor be ahead of Sweeny LS contractor the adjacent contractor shall install the gravity sewer pipe between master manhole and first upstream manhole.
