Renovation of a municipal facility in Ottawa, Ontario. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
The replacement of the AHU, located in the basement mechanical room, and all associated piping, valves, fan starters, and accessories. Existing steam to steam humidifier mounted on unit will removed, and not reinstated/replaced. A new adequately sized AHU will be installed c/w new remote mount VFD, piping, valves, and accessories. New AHU will service the main corridor, elevator lobby, and a mix of eight (8) storage rooms and offices. Existing duct distribution system in corridor will be removed and replaced with new c/w VAV boxes mounted within ceiling space of select rooms. The ceiling in most of the storage rooms is asbestos containing and will require abatement prior to commencement of any work within these rooms.
