The Project is expected to be awarded on July 23, 2024.** The work to be performed under this contract consists of the following major items of work as listed below and as further described in the solicitation documents: (1) Mobilization (2) Demolition (3) Thickener tank blasting, and epoxy lining of sludge thickener tank (4) Furnish sludge thickener mechanical and electrical equipment (5) Install sludge thickener mechanical and associated equipment (6) Electrical installation (7) Thickener startup, testing, training, and turnover (8) Digester No. 2 gas dome, center pipe, and manhole hatch abrasive blasting and coating (9) Repair for cracks using epoxy or grout (10) Spalling repair Work of this Contract is identified on the Drawings, in the technical Specifications and in the Bid Item Description pages of Section 01025 and Section 01026. In summary: 1. Work related to the Sludge Thickener includes: a. Demolition of mechanical equipment for the Sludge Thickener, including the drive, rotating mechanism, scum baffle, scum trough, rake arms, and associated parts.Removal of the existing tank interior lining; concrete repair and substrate preparation; and installation of new lining on the interior concrete surfaces of the Sludge Thickener. c. Recoating of interior surfaces including the walls, ceiling, and other interior surfaces. d. Installation of new mechanical equipment for the Sludge Thickener, including the rotating mechanism, scum baffle, scum trough, rake arm and associated parts. e. Installation of new influent pipe and scum pipe, including associated supports. f. Removal of existing access hatches in concrete thickener cover and replacement with new aluminum access hatches. 2. Work related to Digester No. 2 includes: a. Removal of the existing coating; substrate preparation; and installation of new coating on the exterior gas dome surface and supports. b. Removal of the existing coating; substrate preparation; installation of new coating on the exterior surfaces of the vertical center mixing pipe. c. Removal of the existing coating and gasket; substrate preparation; installation of new coating on the exterior and underside/interior surfaces of the two (2) manhole access hatches and installation of new gaskets.
