Renovation of a museum in San Diego, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a museum.
DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The scope of work shall be to install new electric meters with associated CTs at each of the included buildings to provide sub-metering of the electric usage for each building. The JCI supplied meters and CTs will be Obvius/Accuenergy. The following list identifies the buildings that are included in this proposed Scope of Work. 1. Center Hall 2. Galbraith Hall 3. Geisel Library 4. Mandeville 5. Music Center 6. Pepper Canyon Hall 7. Rady Otterson 8. Rady Wells Fargo 9. Student Services Estimated project duration is 200 calendar days. Bid Security in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the Lump Sum Base Bid, excluding alternates, shall accompany each Bid. The Surety issuing the Bid Bond shall be, on the Bid Deadline, listed in the latest published State of California, Department of Insurance, list of Insurers Admitted to Transact Surety Insurance in This State. UC San Diego encourages the participation of Small, Disadvantaged, Minority-owned, Women-owned and Service/Disabled Veteran-owned Business Enterprises (S/D/M/W/DVBE's) and is committed to promote a diverse pool of firms for our building programs. Every effort will be made to ensure that all persons have equal access to contracts and other business opportunities with the University within the limits imposed by law or University policy. Each Bidder may be required to show evidence of its equal employment opportunity policy. The successful Bidder and its subcontractors will be required to follow the nondiscrimination requirements set forth in the Bidding Documents and to pay prevailing wage at the location of the work. The work described in the contract is a public work subject to section 1771 of the California Labor Code. No contractor or subcontractor, regardless of tier, may be listed on a Bid for, or engage in the performance of, any portion of this project, unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5 and 1771.1. Contractors and subcontractors must use the DIR's upgraded electronic certified payroll reporting (eCPR) system to furnish certified payroll records (CPRs) to the Labor Commissioner. Contractors and subcontractors who have been submitting PDF copies of their CPRs for earlier projects must also begin using the new system. Project No. 202054
