Demolition, site work and new construction of a water / sewer project in Petaluma, California. Working plans call for the demolition of a water / sewer project; for the construction of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.
** As of September 15,2025 project were canceled. No definite date for the rebid.** Wilson Stormwater Pump Station & Outfall Upgrades The WORK includes demolishing the existing concrete masonry unite (CMU) building, concrete curb and ramp, fencing, electrical and natural gas lines, abandonment of two (2) 48" gravity-fed discharge pipes, and removal of three (3) existing pumps, six (6) access grates, two (2) natural gas engines, timber divider wall, and two (2) 48" heavy-duty flap gates along with all pertinent accessories. Improvement includes installation of new chain-link fencing with sliding gate, three (3) electric driven pumps, two (2) access hatches and two (2) access grates, cast-in-place pipe (CIPP) lining of 24" and 36" steel discharge pipes, epoxy coating wet well interior, electrical service improvements, motor control center (MCC), transformer, valves, lighting, water service modifications, surface pavement and striping, earthwork and pressure transducer. Work also includes clearing and grubbing of existing vegetation and landscape, regrade and paving of the site, and repair of outfall structure. A. Section Includes: 1. Field applied paint and coatings. 2. Shop applied coatings. 3. Painting and coating accessories. The work shall include furnishing, installing, and testing the equipment and materials detailed in the following Sections. Where differences exist between the specific equipment Specification Sections of Division 26 and this Section, the specific equipment Specifications shall govern. 26 05 05 - Electrical and Instrumentation Demolition and Modifications 26 05 19 - Low Voltage Electrical Conductors and Cables 26 05 26 - Grounding and Bonding for Electrical Systems 26 05 33 - Raceways and Boxes for Electrical Systems 26 05 43 - Underground Ducts and Raceways for Electrical Systems 26 05 53 - Identification for Electrical Systems 26 05 73 - Electrical System Analyses 26 05 83 - Low Voltage Motors 26 08 00 - Commissioning of Electrical Systems 26 24 13 - Switchboards 26 24 19 - Motor Control Centers 26 27 26 - Wiring Devices 26 32 13 - Diesel Engine Driven Generators 26 50 00 - Lighting 40 61 01 - Process Instrumentation and Controls The work shall include the following: 1. Furnish and install complete operational systems functionally in accordance with the intent of these Contract Documents including but not limited to: a. Coordinate the details of equipment layouts and construction for all Specification Divisions which affect the work covered under Division 26, Electrical. b. Furnish and install all incidental items not specifically indicated, but which are required by good practice and standards of the industry to provide complete functional systems. c. Coordination and work associated with equipment provided under technical Division 2 through 46 of these Specifications including but not limited to: mechanical systems packaged with electrical equipment, motor operated valves with integral controls, pump motors with motor protection controls, field instrumentation integral controls, pump motors with motor protection controls, field instrumentation. d. Coordination and work associated with Division 40 - Process Integration, for installation of plant control system including but not limited to: control networks and media converters, computers, control panels, conduit, wire, and termination as required. e. Coordination with PG&E for electrical service. Trench and install all conduits and sub structures from the pole to the PG&E pad mount transformer location. f. Conduits, wires and field connections for all motors, motor controllers, control devices, control panels and electrical equipment furnished under other technical sections of these Specifications. g. Conduits, wiring and terminations for all field-mounted instruments furnished and mounted under other Divisions, including process instrumentation primary elements, transmitters, local indicators, and control panels; lightning and surge protection equipment wiring at process instrumentation transmitters and analyzers; instrumentation disconnect switches; installation of vendor furnished cables as indicated under other Divisions. h. Installation of pad mounted transformer, switchboard, motor control center, reduced voltage starters, and other packaged motor control equipment, accessories, and appurtenances furnished under other Divisions. i. Coordinate the sequence of demolition with the sequence of construction to maintain plant operation in accordance with Division 2. j. Seismic calculation, anchoring and restraints for electrical equipment and systems under Section 01 33 12 (Seismic Design Criteria). k. Short Circuit Study, System Protective Device Coordination Analysis, Arc Flash Calculations, and other electrical system modeling work. l. Testing of the electrical equipment and making final settings for the electrical protective devices. m. Startup and commissioning of the electrical system and components. 2. Installation of reduced voltage starters, and other packaged motor control equipment, accessories, and appurtenances furnished under other Divisions. 3. Modifications to existing control systems including installation of auxiliary motor starter contacts, relays, switches, as required to provide the control functions or inputs as shown on the Drawings. Verify all existing wiring and connections for correctness. Trace the circuits in the field and develop the wiring diagrams necessary for completion of the work. Document all changes made to the wiring diagrams and return a marked-up set of Record Drawings to the City after the work is complete. 4. Coordinate the sequence of demolition with the sequence of construction to maintain plant operation in accordance with Section 26 05 05. Remove and demolish equipment and materials in such a sequence that the existing and proposed plant will function properly with no disruption of treatment and as specified under Section 26 05 05. Work Included: All work necessary to furnish and install bypass pumping systems and/or temporary control panels to facilitate the work shown in the Contract Documents while maintaining the flows specified herein.
