Renovation of a water / sewer project in Franklinville, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.

The Village of Franklinville (Owner) is requesting Bids for the construction of the following Project: WASTEWATER TREATMENT FACILITY IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT The Project generally includes the following Work: The installation of a mechanically cleaned screening system; an underground septage dosing tank, pump and controls; modification of existing chlorine contact tanks and installation of ultraviolet (UV) disinfection system; installation of effluent flow meter and vault; construction of a new sludge dewatering building, including the installation of belt filter press (provided by Owner), a sludge pump and polymer feed system; modification of existing sludge drying beds; coating and select rehabilitation of existing steel treatment tanks and equipment; installation of emergency generator and associated equipment. Separate bids will be received for Contract No. 1 - General Construction and Contract No. 2 - Electrical Construction. Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the maximum amount of the bid, as a guarantee that the bidder will execute the contract and furnish the necessary bonds if the contract is awarded to him/her. Instructions to Bidders For all further requirements regarding bid submittal, qualifications, procedures, and contract award, refer to the Instructions to Bidders that are included in the Bidding Documents. Other Requirements The selected Contractors will be required to comply with the funding requirements of the NYS Environmental Facilities Corporation and CDBG, as described in the Bidding Documents. Documentation demonstrating the effort to solicit MBE/WBE participation must be submitted within five (5) days of the Bid Opening. The Supplementary Conditions set forth requirements for the payment by the Contractor and its Subcontractors of minimum wage rates for all classes of laborers and mechanics as set forth by the General Prevailing Minimum Wage Rates as determined by the New York Department of Labor, Article 8 Public Work, as applicable to the Work. Davis Bacon wage rates also apply to this contract.
