Renovation of an educational facility in Colonial Heights, Virginia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
These are two projects at Fauntleroy Hall that bid at the same time but are to be bid/awarded as separate projects. The Accessibility Improvements project is described as the construction of a new 2-stop holeless hydraulic elevator within the footprint of the existing building. The Work includes but is not limited to the construction of a new elevator pit, elevator shaft, new egress corridor and storefront entrance, a new low slope roof structure, renovations to the adjacent classroom spaces, new elevator sump pump, floor sink, new HVAC split systems for the Elevator Room and Corridor, and power & Lighting as indicated. The Roof Replacement & Drainage Improvements project is described as the removal and replacement of the shingled Gambrel roof with standing seam metal and replacement of the flat roof at the Shop wing. The existing roof ductwork shall be removed and reinstalled to accommodate the new roof installation. There is a pending clarification regarding the proposed flat roof system and materials. A request has been made to consolidate these two projects into one contract. This will be clarified in a future addendum. *This project is being bid by invitation only.
