The scope of work involves furnishing all of the required labor, materials, equipment, implements, parts and supplies necessary for, or appurtenant to, removal of existing siding and replacement with pre-finished LP siding and installation of aluminum wrap and gutters, in accordance with the plans dated September 20, 2021 and any authorized change orders which have been signed by both parties. All proposals must be accompanied by a Bidder's Bond, a Certified Check, Cashier's Check or Bank Draft for 10% (ten percent) of the total bid made payable to the Crystal Lake Park District. Each bid shall also include three (3) references of clients for which similar work was performed, listing the name, address and telephone number of the client, a description of the work, and the construction cost. All contracts for the Construction of Public Works are subject to the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS 130/1-12). The Crystal Lake Park District reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive technicalities. Siding
Remove existing wood siding down to the sheathing. Replace damaged and
rotted wood with plywood.
Remove and reinstall lights, cable boxes, etc. as needed for new siding
installation.
Install new house wrap and house wrap tape at all seams and around all
openings.
Install new horizontal pre-finished LP Smartside lap siding, cedar texture. Install
one outside corner trim piece, cedar texture. Colors to be chosen by owner.
2.02 Soffit, Fascia and Frieze Board
Install new pre-finished aluminum over existing wood soffit, fascia and frieze
boards. Soffit to be vented. Color to be chosen by owner.
2.03 Windows and Doors
Install new pre-finished aluminum over existing window and door frames. Seal all
gaps to prevent moisture penetration. Color to be chosen by owner.
2.04 Gutters
Remove existing gutters and downspouts. Install new 6" pre-finished aluminum
gutters and downspouts around the entire perimeter of the building. Downspout
locations to be approved by owner prior to installation. Color to be chosen by
owner.
2.05 Permits
Contractor is responsible for obtaining all necessary permits for the project. Fees
to the City of Crystal Lake shall be waived.
2.06 Samples
Contractor to provide samples of all products and several color options, to be
chosen by owner. The contract will be awarded at a Board Meeting of the Park Board of Commissioners on October 21, 2021 at 6:30 p.m
