The contractor shall provide all labor, equipment and non-owner supplied materials to repair and resurface the existing synthetic running track and associated elements located at 808 Gray Avenue, Yuba City, CA 95991. The work includes demolition of the existing track surfacing and no longer used elements; minor repairs to the underlying asphalt paving and concrete; removal and minor reworking of limited zones of natural grass surfacing, regrading, and adjustments of the associated irrigation systems; minor repairs and rehabilitation to the long jump pits and associated runways; and complete preparation of the pavements for resurfacing and restriping of the track with new synthetic surfacing. The work includes minor ancillary work to adjust the path of travel for all, and includes the necessary mobilization, staging, clean-up, insurances, bonding and warranties as detailed in the comprehensive construction documents. As security for its Bid, each Bidder shall provide with its Bid form:
A bid bond issued by an admitted surety insurer on the form provided by the District,
Cash, or
A cashier's check or a certified check, drawn to the order of the Yuba City Unified School District, in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid price. The successful Bidder shall furnish to the District a 100% Performance Bond and a 100% Payment Bond if it is awarded the contract for the Project. The District's Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids and/or waive any irregularity in any bid received. If the District awards the Contract, the security of unsuccessful Bidder(s) shall be returned within sixty (60) calendar days from the time the award is made. Unless otherwise required by law, no Bidder may withdraw its bid for ninety (90) calendar days after the date of the Bid opening. The Bidder must list hereinafter the name and location of each Subcontractor who will be employed, and the scope of Work that each will perform if the Contract is awarded to the Bidder. The Bidder acknowledges and agrees that under Public Contract Code section 4100, et seq., it must clearly identify the name and location of each Subcontractor who will perform Work or labor or render service to the Bidder in or about the construction of the Work in an amount in excess of one-half of one percent (1/2 of 1%) of the Bidder's
total Bid.
As to any Work for which the Bidder fails to list a Subcontractor, the Bidder agrees to perform that portion itself or be subjected to penalty under applicable law.
If alternate bids are called for and the Bidder intends to use Subcontractors different from or in addition to those Subcontractors listed for work under the base Bid, the Bidder must list Subcontractors that will perform Work in an amount in excess of one half of one percent (1/2 of 1%) of the Bidder's total Bid, including alternates.
