Renovation of an educational facility in Fairborn, Ohio. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
As of February 7, 2024, a general contractor has been awarded and construction is underway. Design firm information has not been determined. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: The project is to replace air handling units 1 and 2 in the Health Sciences building at Wright State University. AHU-1 services a vivarium on the basement, and AHU-2 serves office, classroom and laboratory space. The design solution must include provisions for temporary air handling servicing the vivarium while the replacement, connections and commissioning of AHU-1 occurs. In addition, the control wiring serving the AHUs, VAV boxes and all other HVAC components will be replaced and the controls re-programed to provide monitoring and control functions similar to other facilities on campus. All control systems shall be compatible with existing Siemens building automation systems. The selected A/E, as a portion of its required Scope of Services and prior to submitting its proposals, will discuss and clarify with the Owner and/or the Contracting Authority, the cost breakdown of the Architect/Engineer Agreement detailed cost components to address the Owner's project requirements. Participate in the Encouraging Growth, Diversity & Equity (EDGE) Program as required by statute and the Agreement. Total Project Cost: $1,835,000 As of June 6, 2022, the issuance of short-list of firms has not been determined.
