Project includes the replacement of City-owned water lines within the Bid-A-Wee subdivision that will provide future reliable water service to development within Bid A Wee. The project is bordered to the south by Front Beach Road, to the north and east by Crane Street and to the west by Nautilus Street. In summary, existing 2-inch water lines within the Bid A Wee subdivision will be improved with water lines ranging in size from 4 to 6-inch in diameter A Bid Bond in the amount of 5% of the total amount of the Bid shall accompany the Bid. The City shall award the contract to the lowest fully responsive and responsible bidder; provided, that the City Council may award the contract to a bidder other than the lowest bidder should it find the lowest bidder does not offer the reliability, quality of service or product afforded by such other bidder. Where a bid other than the lowest bid is taken, the City Council shall state the reasons upon which such award was made. Each bidder must comply with all applicable state and local laws concerning licensing, registration, and regulations of contractors doing business in Florida. The bid must conform to Section 287.133(3) Florida Statutes, with respect to Public Entity Crimes. The City of Panama City Beach reserves the right to reject any and all Bids. All Bids shall be firm including all labor and material prices for a period of 60 days after opening.
