Site work for a transportation facility in Niagara Falls, New York. Completed plans call for site work for a transportation facility.

Please contact the owner directly for bid results and award information. Amtrak is seeking track construction services on two layover tracks at the Niagara Falls Mechanical Facility. One of the two options below will become the project description once the site has been assessed. Option #1 Contractor will be replacing approximately 300 ties in the two tracks listed below: Middle Track - 900 feet in length House Track - 630 feet in length Both tracks shall be constructed to meet 49 CFR 213 Class 1 Track Safety Standards. At a minimum a junior tamper shall be used following the tie installation. The following are minimum standards for these tracks: 1. Every 3rd tie must be replaced (no more than 3 defective ties in a row) 2. Gage shall be no more than 57" at any point 3. All fastening hardware (spikes, plates, etc) must be renewed on every new tie 4. Each rail joint shall be supported by at least one effective tie whose centerline is within 24" of the center of the joint 5. Any broken or cracked joint bars or bolts must be replaced Option #2 Contractor will be doing a complete track panel replacement for the two tracks listed below: Middle Track - 900 feet in length House Track - 630 feet in length If you firm would like to be added to the bidders list, please email Christopher.Angelone@amtrak.com
