Bonds are to cover all claims discovered during construction or prior to the end of the warranty period. A Public Works Bond as required by K.S.A. 60-1111 shall be furnished to the Owner by the Contractor in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price and shall be filed with the Clerk of the District Court in the county where the Project is being constructed. A Public Works Bond is not required for projects with a contract price below $100,000.
