The MTA will issue a Request For Proposal for Design-Build Services to include work of all trades for the following: The MTA Center of Technology houses vehicles used for the Ride to Wellness (R2W) program. MTA is soliciting proposals to construct carports and other support services for the R2W vehicles. The RFP, Contract Documents and Preliminary plans can be obtained electronically on the portal. Each Proposal shall be accompanied by a cashier's check or a bid bond by an approved surety company in the amount of five percent (5%) of the base Proposal payable to the MTA and will be forfeited to the MTA on failure to enter into a contract within ten (10) days after notice of acceptance of the Proposal. Proposers are also encouraged to attend the following DBE meeting for the opportunity to meet potential DBE subcontractors and to review requirements for accomplishing the 1.24% DBE project participation goal. During this meeting Proposers will be asked to identify possible subcontracting opportunities and be prepared to discuss them with DBE subcontractors. It is understood that all proposed prices shall remain in effect for at least ninety (90) days from the date of the proposal opening to allow for the award and that, if chosen the successful Contractor, the prices will remain firm through the term of the contract. Any contract or price revisions shall be based on industry price changes and supported by adequate detail to document same. Any cost revisions shall not be allowed if requested or implemented without prior consent of the MTA Purchasing Department. All prices must be FOB Destination. The Price Sheet shall be signed by a duly authorized representative of the Proposer's company.
