Site work for a water / sewer project in Decatur, Georgia. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The scope of work for this project consists of installation of 30-inch DIP Watermain and replacement of existing 8-inch distribution mains with 12" DIP inside the right-of-way and under the existing pavement. The existing 30" steel watermain and some of the 8-inch distribution mains will be abandoned in place and filled with non-shrink grout. Components also include the replacement and installation of 12-inch DIP Water main inside the right-of-way to run parallel to the 30-inch main with interconnections at specified locations. Deadline for Submission of Questions: 5:00 P.M. ET, October 11, 2021 All questions concerning the Project and requests for interpretation of the solicitation and contract exceptions may be asked and answered at the pre-bid conference; however, oral answers are not authoritative. Questions and contract exceptions must be submitted to the Department of Purchasing and Contracting in writing via email to wmoon@dekalbcountyga.gov. Each Bid must be accompanied by a Bid Guarantee in an amount of not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount of the Bid. Bids will be considered only from experienced and well-equipped contractors. Prior to beginning construction, the successful Bidder will file with the County a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond, each equal to 100% of the Contract Price, with the terms and surety to be approved by the County; and furnish satisfactory proof of carriage of the insurance required.
