Renovation of an educational facility in Salt Lake City, Utah. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
Scope of Work : Existing 6 stop elevator modernization in the Henry Eyring Chemistry building #85. onstruction Constraints Occupied building. Other University projects within the building. Downtime for the elevator closure needs to be as short as possible with its duration. The schedule was built with estimated lead times which need to be confirmed by the elevator contractor. Elevator Contractor must minimize loud noises and disruption to building occupants and are to occur earlier or later in the workday when possible. The Bidders are to provide, as part of their Bid, confirmation of the schedule. Bidders are to provide milestone dates showing when the elevator work will commence and when contractors will occupy the Site and Building, and the duration. Provide elevator shut down and closure dates and duration. The HEB and U of U have other construction project activities throughout the building and will require coordination. The University of Utah reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any formality or technicality in any bid in the interest of the University.
