Demolition, site work, new construction, renovation and addition to a medical facility in Salt Lake City, Utah. Completed plans call for the addition of a medical facility; for the demolition of a medical facility; for the renovation of a medical facility; for site work for a medical facility; and for the construction of a 483,000-square-foot medical facility.

The University of Utah (U Facilities) intends to hire a Design/Build and CMGC/Architectural Team, referred to herein as "Team " comprised of a general contractor supported by subcontractors and an architect with supporting technical consultants to design and construct the following project: WEST VALLEY HEALTH CENTER AND HOSPITAL (PHASE 1A AND 1B) UNIVERSITY OF UTAH - WEST VALLEY CITY, UTAH Project estimated cost for Phase 1A: $300,000,000 Project estimated cost for Phase 1B: The project cost (FLCC- Fixed limit of Construction Cost) for Phase 1B will be determined at a later date. Teams will be required to submit a FLCC for Phase 1B during stage II of the selection process. Phase 1A of this project will provide approximately 483,000gsf of clinical, surgical, endoscopy, infusion, radiology, lab, pharmacy, and other critical support spaces. An Emergency Department and helipad are also included. Huntsman Cancer Institute will also have a presence for outpatient care. Phase 1A of this project requires comprehensive site design and master planning to accommodate the future Phase 1B expansion. Phase 1B will serve as an extension of the Phase 1A building, introducing new services, expanding key departments within Phase 1A, and adding support spaces essential for patient care. The intent is that the completed Phase 1A and 1B appear as a unified project rather than separate entities. Ensuring close adjacencies and strategic proximities between the phases is vital for connecting services, streamlining patient care pathways, maintaining continuity of care, and enhancing workflow efficiency for staff and providers. Final programmatic requirements for Phase 1B will be provided to shortlisted teams during Stage II of the RFP process at a later date. The selected Team will be responsible to design and construct Phase 1B, in coordination with University of Utah, within the established fixed limit of construction cost (FLCC). The University will issue a separate CMGC and Architectural contract for Phase 1B.
