Site work and new construction of an educational facility in Vancouver, British Columbia. Completed plans call for the construction of a 18,957-square-foot, two-story above grade educational facility; and for site work for a educational facility.
UBC Properties Trust is pleased to issue a Request for Proposal for Construction Management Services for the UBC Food and Beverage Innovation Centre project. The proposed facility will house a state-of-the-art food and beverage processing area, analytical laboratory, packaging area, pilot brewery, and ancillary spaces. The FBIC will be located on Hospital Lane, between the Health Sciences Parkade and School of Population and Public Health, integrating the presence of UBC's Faculty of Land and Food Systems (LFS) in this area of the academic core. The facility will garner research integration and expand LFS Food Science's focus on food safety and quality. It will enhance collaboration between UBC and the community, open for membership to the BC Food Industry to conduct proprietary research. Award amount was not released for publication.
