Engineer's Estimated Cost: $2,000,000 to $2,300,000 Pre-Qualification for Bidders: Not Required License Type Required: Class A General Project Duration: 240 Calendar Days Liquidated Damages: $1,500.00 Per Calendar Day FEMA Hazard Mitigation Grant Program (HMGP) provided a grant to Las Virgenes Municipal Water District (the District) to implement long term hazard mitigation measures after a major disaster declaration. The purpose of the HGMP is to reduce the loss of life and property due to natural disasters and to enable mitigation measures to be implemented during the immediate recovery from a disaster. This project is a Federally Funded project and as such has specific procurement and reporting processes. Contractors shall meet all applicable Federal Laws and State Grant Guidance which shall be incorporated into the Draft Contract provided. The Contractor is required to solicit sub- contractor that are DBE certified. This Notice of Invitation for Bid, DBE will be afforded full opportunity to submit Bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the basis of race, color sex, national origin, in consideration for an award. Bids shall be accompanied by a bidder bond in a form of a bid bond, certified check, or other negotiable instrument acceptable to the District in the amount of 5% of the bid price. The successful bidder, simultaneously with the execution of the agreement, shall furnish and maintain a payment bond in an amount equal to 100% of the contract price and a performance bond in an amount equal to 100% of the contract price.
