The City of Calabasas would like to retain the services of a qualified Landscape Maintenance Company to perform landscape maintenance work. The respective areas of this contract are compromised as the exterior landscaped common areas of Landscape Lighting Act District 22, specifically Calabasas Hills and Estates Community Association. The work to be done consists of, but not limited to, landscape maintenance of parkways, median islands and slopes, including mowing and edging, weeding, sweeping, pruning of shrubs and groundcovers, fertilizing, litter clean-up, tree trimming for pedestrian clearances, etc. Refer to cost-breakdown schedules herein as well as maps for a complete understanding of all maintenance work to be performed. The selected landscape maintenance company shall provide landscape maintenance for all designated parcels, parkways, medians, round abouts, islands, open spaces, slopes, and roadsides described herein and per the attached Appendices. Landscape maintenance methods shall be as described herein. In conclusion, the City of Calabasas looks forward to reviewing prospective landscape maintenance company's information and selecting the most qualified landscape maintenance company and moving forward with this contract. Date of RFP Release September 8, 2023 Mandatory Information Session September 13, 2023 at 8:30am Deadline to Submit Written RFP Questions September 19, 2023 by 3:00pm Deadline for Submitting Proposals September 22, 2023 by 2:00pm Proposal Evaluation Estimate Week of September 25, 2023 Notice of Contract Award Estimate Week of October 2, 2023 Questions regarding this RFQ/P must be submitted no later than 3:00 p.m. September 19, 2023 prior to submission deadline. Oral questions will not be responded to. Finally, the City is responsible for selecting and procuring a contractor for this contract. These contract documents will include instructions and specific parameters for this RFQ/P described below so that a contractor or contractors may be selected to meet the expected effective contract start date of October 16, 2023. The term of the Agreement shall be for three (3) years. The City, at its sole discretion, shall have the option to renew the contract based upon the terms and conditions as provided in the Agreement, subject to price modifications that have been agreed upon by the City and Landscape Maintenance Company pursuant to the provisions of these Specifications.
