Site work and new construction of a civil project in Poway, California. Conceptual plans call for site work for a water / sewer project; and for the construction of a water / sewer project.

This project consists of a new Forebay Tank, Booster Pump Station, and 36-inch diameter treated water pipeline from the POW-5 Flow Control Facility to the Forebay Tank/Booster Pump Station and then to Poways Clearwell Bypass Pipeline. All questions about the Contract and technical portions of the RFP, must be submitted in writing by January 12,2022, by 4:00 p.m. to the Citys Representative as follows:City of Poway - Public Works Department Jessica Parks, Utilities Administrator Treated Water Facilities Project RFP No. 22-006 Phone: (858) 668-4703 Fax: (858) 668-1230 E-Mail: jparks@poway.org This Request for Proposal (RFP) is issued to invite qualified Consultants to submit proposals to provide professional engineering services for the design of the City of Poway's (City) Treated Water Facilities Project. A site map containing an overview of the project and the related San Diego County Water Authority (SDCWA) POW-5 Turnout and Flow Control Facility is presented in Figure 1. The project consists of the design and construction of the following project: Poway Treated Water Facilities, as shown in Figure 3: This project consists of a new Forebay Tank, Booster Pump Station, and 36-inch diameter treated water pipeline from the POW-5 Flow Control Facility to the Forebay Tank/Booster Pump Station and then to the Citys Clearwell Bypass Pipeline. Refer to the attached Preliminary Design Report for additional project information and requirements. The Forebay Tank, Booster Pump Station, and treated water pipeline will be owned and operated by the City. Excluded from this RFP is the design and construction of the following project: SDCWA POW-5 Turnout and Flow Control Facility, as shown in Figure 2: This project consists of a new SDCWA turnout service connection, a flow control facility near STA 413+00 (near the intersection of Espola Road & Green Valley Truck Trail) to the Ramona Pipeline and a 24-inch diameter lateral pipeline connecting the new turnout structure to the flow control facility. The aforementioned facilities will be owned and operated by the SDCWA. Refer to the attached Planning Study for supplemental project information for this project. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
